Engineering With NowFactory

Engineering at NowFactory is how we create your bill of materials and determine the cost of producing the finished product. Because it is such a crucial step, it can be just as crucial to understand what exactly engineering is and why it's so necessary.
After subscribing you will be able to engineer your own bill of materials. The bill of materials is the "recipe" for your product, and in order to find the most efficient way to prepare it we need to do some research and fully test the best packaging solution. Some of the things we take into account is the size of the box versus the amount of packing material needed. This part is where you gain the benefit of not only our experience with what packing material works best in different situations, but also our large stock of different box sizes. We are not only able to quickly find the most efficient way to pack your items, we also will develop a detailed kitting procedure should it be required, for our assembly staff to prepare the final product. This ensures above all consistency, which is something we put a high value on at NowFactory.
Once we have a prototype, we take it through a series of drop tests to ensure your products are safe and secure from every angle. After passing these tests we take pictures/videos of the completed process as well as the steps required, and send them to you for final approval. We can even ship you the completed prototype if you would like to inspect the product in person.
After the packaging procedure has been finalized, we create labels and a product code for your finished product, as well as all your raw materials. This allows you to not only monitor and control your raw material levels on the website, but also allows you to quickly search for and purchase your completed bill of materials whenever you need more of an item produced.
If you are using us to ship to an Amazon FBA center, we are experienced in dealing with Amazon's strict packaging requirements. This will save you from potentially being charged any labeling fees ($0.20 per item) or any fees that otherwise could be avoided. We can also prevent you the headache of spending your valuable time and effort ensuring every item is packaged correctly.
Once your bill of materials is fully engineered and ready to be ordered, it will show up under the Getting Started tab as "My Bill of Materials". From here you will be able to purchase your bill of materials any time you would like to start production. Making your business easier to run is what we do and our meticulous engineering process ensures that you can focus on the more important things.
